Prayer Brick: 23 Feb 2010

As we await tenders to come in could we pray that we will get the right contractor to do the work?

God has really blessed us so far with an excellent professional team and it would be good to thank Him for that and also for the funding that has come in so far...

Praise God and give thanks for Cory

We have heard from the Cory Environmental Trust that "subject to registration with the central Cory regulator" (an internal procedure at Cory) LRBC is being offered a grant of £55,000 towards the Build project.

Thanks again for praying and for the team who put the bid and presentation together.

Bi-monthly report form the BUILD desk: Sun 13 Feb 2011

making a difference in our community

This is the fifth (not so) bi-monthly report regarding the BUILD Project.

Here’s the news:
• Five contractors are currently pricing the tender documentation (Bill of Quantities and drawings). The tender return date is Friday 25 February and the tenders will be opened here on Monday 28 February.
• The Project Board have been working hard to prepare for our presentation to the Cory Environmental Trust. This takes place on Tuesday 15 February at the Civic Centre.
• Martin and Priscilla Scott are working with the children’s and youth leaders to come up with a cunning plan for Sundays while the contractor is on site (May- December) and the available space is limited.
• Alan and Robin are working hard to organise logistics and storage. We are aiming to start on site on Tuesday 3 May so the site needs to be cleared and ready for that date - equipment and groups need to have new homes!
Please keep praying…..not least for patience, co-operation and generosity with one another during this hectic time.

As usual, any comments or queries, please do not hesitate to contact Jane in the Church Office
